Green Fields School was extremely honoured to host the CBSE inter School Central Zonal Chess Competition in girls category.
The championship was conducted over a period of three days, from 26th to 28th September 2024 and saw many prestigious schools participating in a battle of wits. The event began with the opening ceremony on 26 September '24 . Respected Chairman Mr Anil Khanna declared the Championship Open . Honourable Principal, Mrs Mini Khanna, addressed the gathering and spoke about the importance of being mentally and physically fit and how Chess helps to keep our minds sharp and astute. CBSE flag was hoisted and March Past by all excited participants was very much appreciated.
The event was conducted in three categories, Under 11, Under 14, Under 17 and Under 19. The championship saw many hard fought strategic battles with the most patient and tactical competitors emerging victorious.
The prestigious Competition culminated on Saturday, 28 September '24 with felicitation ceremony in presence of many dignitaries from CBSE .
